Barney
Now, our girls are only 7 months old and I don't know what they're thinking because they can't talk, but if I could crawl inside Nora's brain during these photos, I imagine she's thinking something like.... "sweet Jesus, is that ferocious, purple dinosaur going to eat those daffy kids?"

Happy Halloween from Thing 1 and Thing 2!
Thing 1 and Thing 2 hope you all have a very spoooooky Halloween!
We went to a work party this afternoon and dressed the girls up as the characters from the Dr. Seuss book "The Cat in the Hat."

Teething Biscuit Funk

When daddy's away, the girls will play. At least that's what they decided this past Saturday when they took teething biscuit eating to a whole new level. Just look at these two! What's funny is that these aren't even chocolate flavored, so it must have taken some pretty hardcore determination to get this funky. If I had to score this round (knowing we probably have more rounds ahead of us), I'd have to give Nora a solid 5 out of 10 (since she didn't go above the nose) and Iris an impressive 8 out of 10 (for her ability to pretty much start at the nose). Stay tuned for future events...and God help us.Tuesday, October 28, 2008
CHILI TIME!
Hey all...Mark here. It's almost Halloween and it's definitely chili time. Started the season off right with one of the best batches of chili I've made yet. And I bet it will taste even better today when I rip through another bowl. Yes those are Fritos folks. Doesn't get much better than this...mmmm...

Separate Ways
The girls are now apart for pretty much the first time ever. Mom and Nora have gone to Texas for an extended weekend. It is cousin James's second birthday. While those two are away, Iris and I decided to make a stop at the Lenexa Chili cook off to see our friend Todd. Would you believe it, his station was set up very close to the Dacks. Iris got to play with Emily, Laurie, Alex, and Kyle. She loved her hat.
