Happy First Birthday!!!
Whew! A year flies by FAST! Today, the girls turned 1! We had the party at Old Chicago this afternoon. Thanks to EVERYBODY for celebrating with us. The party was a grand success. And especially thank you to Marcia Valera for her fabulous cake, Cousin Quinlan for being such an outstanding helper, and Grandma Starr for making the trip from Oklahoma. We love having you here!

Cabin Fever Persists
The weather remains pretty cold here in KC, but we manage to make up our own indoor fun. A couple weeks ago, Iris and Nora had a playdate with little Quinn Roach. Quite a blast.
Quinn is super cute!
Iris as E.T. - hiding among the stuffed animals.
On one of the colder, more boring Sundays, we decided to do some handprints of the girls.
Seemed easy enough.....
Except for the dripping paint and getting the girls to uncurl their fists.

Happy Valentine's Day
Nora and Iris had a very busy and happy Valentine's Saturday playing with their new bears from Nana and Grandma. Fun for everyone!

Hope you all had a great holiday too!

Here are the pics from our fun Sunday Ladies' Tea!
Back Row: Margaret, Emily, Nancy, Koffee, Laurie

What a great time sipping tea, eating finger sandwiches, and gossiping! Much thanks to our gracious host, Miss Cleota Travis (the original Kiki)!

A Busy Saturday
Camera Shy (or tired)?Iris and Nora recently made the move to bigger, forward-facing car seats. While this has put mom and dad at a slight disadvantage when it comes to getting them in and out of the car, it makes for a much better car ride for the girls. It's also nice to finally be able to see their cute little mugs while on the road.
Saturday, the family unit went to Legends and had lunch at The Yard House. This was also a first for the girls since they both got their own high chairs. But I have to tell you that all the excitement really wore them out. Not even ten minutes in the car on the way home and the girls were getting the smackdown by the sandman.
At least they no longer have to stare at the headrests. Now they can finally see the TV and it's all fun from here on out in the car. Kristen and I wish we'd had this sort of luxury when we were kids. Don't you?
