Not only could we fry the best eggs (cuz if they weren't perfect...we had to do them again...and again)...we could also make the best Homemade Chocolate Sauce. Now there's a lost art. Also the window sills in that house tasted delicious when chewed upon...don't know why but I imagine the teeth marks are still there. Hope it wasn't leaded paint.
Right there where you see the Christmas decorations...we had made the most original snow igloo. We spent all day working on it but Dad (Howard) did most of the work while we 3 peeked out the window. I also remember he didn't wear any gloves as he made the snow-packed brickes. He was probably trying to impress Ruthie with his toughness...no doubt! Fun days!
