CHOW BABY!

Kristen and I (mostly Kristen) spend a good deal of time every month making fresh organic baby food for Ms. Iris and Nora. While neither of us can claim to be the healthiest folks in town, we sure feel like we are doing some good by feeding the girls a better quality and very flavorful baby food. So we'll just walk you through what the process looks like. It takes a lot of time, but in the end it is worth every minute.

Click any image for full yummy detail.

Starting off easy with Blueberries and Peas.

On to peeling pears that we'll roast. Butternut squash on deck.

Peeled apples to roast. Hop on in pears.

Sweet potatoes waiting for their buddies (apples & pears)

L to R: Sweet Potatoes, Pears, Blueberries, Apples, and Carrots

Covered and stacked -- ready to be poured into ice cube trays.

The final product: so here is enough organic goodness to last the girls a solid three or four weeks. And since their cousins James and Bodie will be visiting soon for the holidays, we are sure they will want to share a few of these with them. Now if Kristen and I could only eat better ourselves. Damn you M&Ms...you're just so delicious and chocolaty and I love you.

Grandma comes to visit!!!

Yay! Grandma Janie came Saturday morning for the weekend! Too much fun!Grandma brought cute, giggling baby dolls for the girls. They LOVED them.
Getting ready to go to sleep the night before Grandma's big visit!

I told you it'd snow, Colin!!! This is Saturday.

Poor baby is so tuckered from all the fun we had with Grandma. If you look closely, somehow Nora managed to sneak a little friend to bed with her....We'll miss you Janie! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jessie and thanks for everything!!!

Iris disagrees with you.

Barney Allergy

This is proof that the girls are allergic to Barney! Sneezing and itchy, watery eyes! Mark and I have to keep them away from the dinosaur to prevent anaphylactic shock!!!

Happy Belated Birthday, JDM!

Push the play button below:

Nora and I had such a great time celebrating cousin James' birthday in Texas! Here is a video of him blowing out the candles. It is accompanied by the vocal stylings of his talented parents - Molly and Colin.
Seriously, it was a very special weekend and he's a fantastic little boy! Happy Birthday James! Choo-choo!!!!

Carrot Top

Now, where did this curly, red hair come from, y'all?

Barney

Now, our girls are only 7 months old and I don't know what they're thinking because they can't talk, but if I could crawl inside Nora's brain during these photos, I imagine she's thinking something like.... "sweet Jesus, is that ferocious, purple dinosaur going to eat those daffy kids?"
