CHOW BABY!

Kristen and I (mostly Kristen) spend a good deal of time every month making fresh organic baby food for Ms. Iris and Nora. While neither of us can claim to be the healthiest folks in town, we sure feel like we are doing some good by feeding the girls a better quality and very flavorful baby food. So we'll just walk you through what the process looks like. It takes a lot of time, but in the end it is worth every minute.

Starting off easy with Blueberries and Peas.

On to peeling pears that we'll roast. Butternut squash on deck.

Peeled apples to roast. Hop on in pears.

Sweet potatoes waiting for their buddies (apples & pears)

L to R: Sweet Potatoes, Pears, Blueberries, Apples, and Carrots

Covered and stacked -- ready to be poured into ice cube trays.

The final product: so here is enough organic goodness to last the girls a solid three or four weeks. And since their cousins James and Bodie will be visiting soon for the holidays, we are sure they will want to share a few of these with them. Now if Kristen and I could only eat better ourselves. Damn you M&Ms...you're just so delicious and chocolaty and I love you.

That whole thing is so impressive! My kids know what to order at any restaurant in town. I am a little embarrassed by that.
